General Classes

Classes have a maximum of only 12-14 enrolled students. Most classes will include asana (posture work) to promote strength, flexibility and bodily health, and pranayama (breath work) this has a profound influence on the mind, plus a range of practical relaxation techniques.

Students will be encouraged to explore their physical boundaries but the main emphasis of this teaching is the ability to be in the present moment. For the greater part of our lives we allow the mind to "time travel" moving backward into memory and forward into the future, in these classes we will explore how it feels and what it means to be a little more present in our daily lives.

Therapy Classes

These classes are restricted to a maximum of 8 students.

Advance booking is essential.

The Art of Relaxation

These classes are designed for students who are coping with the effects of stress and anxiety. The intention of this class is to introduce students to a gentle yoga practice that focuses on ways to relax the body, the mind, and be in the present moment. Students will experience and learn a variety of simple relaxation techniques.

In addition to a yoga mat students in these classes should also bring a blanket and small cushion.

What to bring:

  • a yoga mat (mats can usually be bought cheaply from TK Max & any larger Boots or Tesco's - generally for less than £10)
  • a bottle of water
  • a warm jumper and socks
  • reading spectacles for the first week

Child Policy

The classes I run are not aimed at children.
However, I am happy to accept children in a general class, who are aged 14 or over with a mature attitude, if they are accompanied by an adult.
The accompanying adult must be prepared to attend regularly as a participating, fee paying student.
